Krugger BMW K1600 NURB

The Krugger BMW K1600 NURB takes the substantial presence of BMW’s six-cylinder platform and reshapes it into something far more compact and sculptural. Its smooth grey bodywork wraps around the upper half of the motorcycle, while the BMW engine, polished exhaust headers and wide custom wheels remain deliberately exposed below. The result is a machine defined as much by its surfaces and proportions as by its mechanical detail.

Bodywork with a streamlined profile

Viewed from the side, the NURB has an unusually clean silhouette. The front and rear body sections form a continuous, rounded volume, with narrow openings and brushed-metal inserts adding contrast to the grey finish. Those openings are more than decoration visually: they break up the broad panels and give the bodywork a sense of depth without relying on sharp creases or excessive ornament.

The rider’s seat sits low within the rear section, almost disappearing into the bodywork. A small raised backrest-like form defines the rear of the seat, while the short cockpit area keeps attention on the tank and the broad front fairing. Krugger branding is integrated into the side panel rather than applied as a large external graphic.

Mechanical detail left on display

The custom panels do not hide the BMW power unit completely. Gold-toned covers, black frame tubes and the bank of polished header pipes create a dense mechanical centre beneath the smooth exterior. The contrast is effective: the bodywork looks carefully machined and finished, while the lower half retains the visual complexity expected of a large performance motorcycle.

That treatment also makes the engine a structural part of the design language. Instead of presenting the K1600 as a conventional touring motorcycle with added accessories, the NURB frames its BMW hardware as a central piece of the composition. The visible BMW markings and carefully finished covers reinforce that connection.

Wheels that change the proportions

The wheels are among the most influential elements in the build’s appearance. Their large black-and-metallic faces use broad, flowing spokes and inset brushed sections, producing a graphic pattern that echoes the bodywork’s rounded openings. The substantial tyres and deep wheel shapes give the motorcycle a planted stance, while the relatively short visible body height makes the wheels appear even more dominant.

Small details carry the same level of attention. The grips, control hardware, fasteners and polished exhaust components are all visible against the darker frame and bodywork, giving the NURB something to examine beyond its first dramatic outline. It is a custom K1600 built around integration: engine, frame, wheels and panels are presented as parts of one deliberately controlled form.
