Rizoma’s BMW R nineT Café Racer gives the modern boxer a tighter, more purposeful silhouette without hiding the mechanical details that define it. The most immediate changes are at the front: a compact nose fairing frames the round headlamp, while low clip-on handlebars pull the riding position toward the tank. From there, the eye follows the exposed cylinders, black frame and cleanly shortened rear section.
A lower, sharper riding position
The 1970s-style clip-ons do more than add café-racer period flavor. They visually lower the front of the motorcycle and create a stronger line from the tank to the fairing. Rizoma pairs them with adjustable rearsets, moving the control layout toward the compact, forward-leaning stance suggested by the bodywork.
The single-seat arrangement reinforces that intent. Its broad, raised rear cowl gives the tail a defined endpoint, while the slim side profile leaves the trellis-style structure and rear suspension clearly visible. A sidearm license-plate mount and revised taillamp keep the back of the bike from becoming visually heavy.
Detail work around the boxer twin
Much of the appeal comes from the contrast between the restrained bodywork and the bright metal accents. The engine is still the visual anchor, but anodized aluminium engine covers and shaped cylinder-head covers give the familiar boxer layout a more finished, deliberately coordinated appearance. The dark exhaust plumbing and muffler bodies add mass low in the frame, balancing the pale tank and front fender.
Rizoma’s accessory approach is consistent across the motorcycle. Restyled turn indicators, mirrors and lighting reduce visual clutter, while the small front fender and compact fairing make the front wheel and braking hardware more prominent. Spoked wheels preserve a classic café-racer cue, but the wide, modern tyres and large dual front discs keep the overall impression contemporary rather than period-correct.
One coherent R nineT interpretation
This BMW is not defined by a single dramatic fabrication change. Instead, the package works through proportion: lower bars, rear-set controls, a shorter-looking tail and a concentrated mix of black and machined finishes. The result is a R nineT that reads as a focused café racer from across the room, while the exposed boxer, shaft-drive housing and tubular chassis remain central to its identity.
